Pixabay

Overview

Pixabay is a multimedia material platform for the discovery of pictures, videos and other creative resources and for the description of the conditions of use by reference.

Key features

• Resource discovery: looking for creative material by theme
• Authorisation of inspection: checking rules for the use of specific material

Suitable uses

The preparation of materials suitable for site profiles, articles and creative projects requires the inclusion of permit checks in the selection process.

Getting started

First, resources are identified by theme, then size, structure and range are checked. Check the permissions, signatures and restrictions for each material and keep the necessary downloads and permission records.

Things to check

The material licence does not necessarily cover trademarks, portraits or property rights. Sensitive uses require additional cross-checks with images of people.

Pricing and availability

Account requirements, pricing, export limits and regional availability can change. Check the current official terms before using the service. This directory does not promise a particular free allowance or price.
